Villa Curina Resort will reopen on 15th March 2012. We wish you season's greetings!

In an atmosphere of stillness and silence, among the rolling hills of Chianti, just 10km from Siena stands "Villa Curina Resort”, a small sixteenth century village, where elegance and harmony blend with history and tradition, creating a unique atmosphere. Villa Curina stems from the passion and the will of the owners to restore the old residence and the places surrounding the ancient splendour.

The villa dates back to the sixteenth century and was built together with a small church with frescoes by Arcangelo Salimbeni from the Cinughi family. The old building on which stands the Villa dates back to the fourteenth century as evidenced by an ancient tunnel that leads to a large room from the ceiling arches

It is surrounded by a magnificent garden, a small jewel dating from the late 1700s, intact in its original structure, with plants and precious century old architectural ornaments, which separates the villa from the recovered farm houses and designated for the reception.

Immersed in the quiet Tuscan country-side, the Villa offers a breathtaking view over the hills of the Chianti valley where time seems to stand still in the year 1200 when Florence and Siena clashed in nearby Monteaperti, theatre of the famous battle mentioned by Dante in his Divine Comedy.
